Genre & NCIS

Trailer 1:
JESSABELLE

Genre: Thriller

NarrativeAfter losing her fiancé in a car accident, grief-stricken Jessie retreats to her father's run-down Louisiana mansion, where she finds a gift from her long-dead mother, and a spirit intent on killing her. She finds the tape and it revealed that Jessabelle will be killed.

Character: The main character Sarah Snook is an famous south Australian actress. she is the one who knows that Jessabelle is the one who will be killed. Amber Stevens (the dead girl) is a great actor who is currently in Los Angeles, California.

Iconography: To know that this films genre is thriller is that there is a lot of things we can look for for example the scary twin of the woman and the dark hair of her. the sound effects are a high pitched sound so when we hear it, it gives us a little shock.

Setting: The film was set in a haunted house which shows that this film is only aiming one place which is effected (haunted).

Trailer 2: The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) Poster
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET
Genre: Comedy

Narrative: Jordan Belfort begins a low-level job at an established Wall Street firm. After being taken under the wing of company executive Mark Hanna and becoming a licensed stockbroker, he is retrenched due to the firm's bankruptcy following Black Monday.

Character: The main character Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) has a decent life until he is brought into a company of executive Mark Hanna and he becomes rich later on.

Iconography: You can see this because of the way they use the money, girls, and the way they have house parties shows that the genre is comedy.

Setting: This is set in one big house and one big city (New York) which is a popular city known for being very rich. One of the main things a comedy film needs is money and the way they use it. so this is definitely a comedy film.

Trailer 3:
NON-STOP
Genre: Action

Narrative: Bill Marks, a former cop dealing with his daughter's death by drinking, is now a federal air marshal. While on a flight from New York to London, Marks gets a text telling him that unless 150 million dollars is transferred to an offshore account, someone will die every 20 minutes. Can he find the terrorist in time and save everyone?

Character: The main character Bill Marks is an alcoholic U.S. federal air marshal; his daughter died at age eight from cancer, his wife divorced him, and he enrolled in the Air Marshal service despite a fear of airplane takeoffs after he was discharged from the police force.

iconography: There is plenty of iconography typical of the action genre: gunshots, explosions, violence, technology, slow motion action.

Settings: The setting is mainly all based in a plane where most of the action is taken place for example the gunshots of the hero and the Villain. A plane is a dangerous place for a problem to occur as it is very high up in the sky and it has a probability of everyone dying if there is an explosion.
